31 folks! I am THIRTY. ONE. It feels sooo foreign to say. Much like my earlier posts, I don’t know if this dissonance comes from how I simply don’t look like I’m in my thirties.

The temperature dips around November, as the sky takes on a monochromatic hue. Often, the sunshine at the end of a raging tempest is touted, or the illusion that are rainbows is promised; foils to the supposed sorrow of the sky.

I feel this is one of those things where the title tells you everything you need to know. Although to be fair, I feel a bulk of you would probably already know everything you need to know even if it wasn’t articulated as a title. Because you have lived through it.

While I had been determined to keep my mantra, “Just get through the year” for 2022, life seems to have other plans – the primary being to get rid of many of my “unattractive qualities” as much as possible before I enter Season 31, Episode 1.

The beach is one of my least favourite places in the world. I find the unexplored depths of our oceans a nightmare and the water, whether it’s loud and crashing or deathly still, haunting. But something I’ve enjoyed since childhood is building sandcastles.
